Although, if you have time to prepare in advance, we RECOMMEND you start packing your belongings yourself, to save money, as most of the time, packing may add many additional hours to your move.
Days prior to your move, we can supply boxes, dish packs, wardrobe boxes, packing paper, tape, cushioning materials for fragile items, bubble wrap etc. These supplies come for a fee of $7/box. At your request, we can also pack items like plates, glasses, silverware, mirrors, paintings and more. All boxes will be labeled so at destination you will know what goes where.

A local move can be anything between moving a studio across the street, to a massive executive house with a distance move of 50 miles or less, from origin to destination.
Rates for local moves are hourly based rates. What’s included: 26′ Box Truck, Packing & Unpacking, Packing Materials & Tools, Disassembly & Reassembly of furniture, Appliances, Tax & Basic Insurance and Double Drive time.
TV Mounting is a separate services we offer as well, only at request for $100/item.

What is Double Drive Time?
Double Drive Time law, passed by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), requires California based moving companies to double the amount of time it takes to get from the origin point to destination point at the agreed upon hourly rate.

A long distance move is based on weight plus distance, typically 50 miles and more, from origin to destination via any public highway route. Movers generally call this a flat rate move. A shipper will receive a flat rate for this type of move, which typically includes services like Loading, Transportation, Fuel, Unloading, Packing & Unpacking, Packing Materials & Tools, Disassembly & Reassembly of Furniture, Tax & Basic Insurance, Stairs, Narrow Hallways and Long Carry. For Long Distance moves, counting hours is no longer necessary, since the flat rate includes all the services and will be performed in that same day.

In this case, we RECOMMEND that we supply our customers with boxes, blankets, straps and wardrobe boxes, as those materials will remain in the storage for the entire storage period. We can provide the rest of the cushioning materials like stretch wrap, tapes, packing paper…
